Photos from our week serving at Global Impact's Conquest Youth Camp on the island of Mindanao, Philippines

Hope reading and waiting for the evening church service at camp to begin.

As soon as the music began, Hope loved to jump right in and 'twirl' as the kids and team would sing and worship God.

The kids would come sit by 'Tatay' (word for daddy) Nate anytime they could.

Every evening of the week of camp there were services. In this service the kids were taught about the Holy Spirit.
Here they come!
The Catalyst students ready for the morning classes.

Kelly helped teach classes as well as did Personal Prayer Ministry for many of the students as they worked through difficult life issues.

Hope and young team member Ethan get readyto pray for camper that was sick.

Hope and Ethan enjoy playtime.

For Hope, coloring durring service is as normal as praying for the sick.

A team member found this beautiful bird down by the river where the campers were getting ready for some fun.
Campers conquered the team task of working together to build a raft and floated down the river without it falling apart!

Campers getting ready for some fun!

These are 3 of last years Catalyst students that served as interns this year.
It is an honor to know them and see the transformations in each of their lives as they follow Christ.

Hi Everyone!
We have had a very full April and May.
Global Impact's Catalyst - Youth Leadership Academy was 4 weeks of high impact bible teaching, discipleship, mentoring and practical application training for 53 young people.
We all, as a family were involved and loved every part!
Below are some photos we would like to share and more will follow next week.
We pray that you are encouraged in what God is doing through this ministry and that you are inspired to step out into what He may be leading you to do with Him at this time in your life.
May you and your families be blessed now and always,
The Troias

Kelly teaching the catalyst students on the subject of Effective Prayer.

Effective prayer usually begins in getting to know God's character. His character is revealed in His names - Healer, Provider, All Sufficent One...

The students took what was taught by Kelly and the other Global Impact teachers and applied these truths in the word of God in their lives and at youth camp. Many were saved, healed and delivered of demons.

Nate's testimony was shared in a drama presentaion bt Catalyst students.
Over 100 resopnded to God's love through Jesus Christ and gave their hearts to Him this night at youth camp.
They encountered the Living God.

Nate with the young campers, praying with and for them.

Nate praying for a young boy.

Catalyst students responding to the kids needs as they cried out to God.
Many were repenting of witchcraft and occult involvement.

Demonic oppression is very real here in these islands. Now these Young Leaders know what to do! They gathered around the young girl, that had fallen to the ground tormented by demons, and compassionately prayed for her and using the authority of the name of Jesus, they cast out the demons - freeing this girl of years of torment!
Then the girl was taught how to stay free!

Hi Everyone!

It's been a very good month being back on the mission field of the Philippines. It took some adjusting to the heat and the time change (90's and 16 hours ahead of CA)
But we are happy to be warm again and welcome the 5am sunrise and 5pm sunsets. The only thing we all seem to have trouble with is missing those we love at home..not sure how to 'adjust' to that.
We keep you all close in our hearts always...

Some up dates -
Nate is busy in helps ministry at the base and among the team where ever needed. He really enjoys that since there's always lots of help needed! Recently a team from Bethel Church in Redding California was hosted by Global Impact. Nate drove and helped escort them to various destinations for ministry on our island and another near by. He is also helping with the Global Impact Young Men's Discipleship Home. The young men need lots of attention, guidence and mentoring.

Hope enjoys being home again. She has begun music and computer classes at a local private school. She loves books and reads stacks most every day.
She is so alert to kids on the street that are alone. Several times a week children come to our gate hungry. Hope never turns her face away. She likes to be the one extending the hand..helping to releive their hunger and letting them know that someone cares.

In addition to Personal Prayer appointments with people that desire freedom from the grip of emotional pain, Kelly has begun training others in this ministry. Leaders will be equiped in powerful ways to help bring real freedom into areas of people's lives that have held pain.

We look forward to sharing many wonderful testimonies with you!!

Thank you for your love, prayer and support as we help to make a lasting difference in the lives of the people Christ has entrusted to us.

Blessings always ~The Troias

Nate took a group to another island near us
to minister in a church there with
Bethel team members.

Sweet little island baby!

Up in a coconut tree getting ready to cut some and
treat Nate and the group to fresh coconut juice!

Reminds us of the song..
You said, "Ask and I'll give the nations to you",

"Oh Lord, that's the cry of my heart..Distant shores

and the Islands
will see Your love..as it rises on us"

' Space' is not an issue here : )

Team Dinner at our house. It's fun & encouraging to get together.

The team has been participating in the Compassion Army's Acts Power Challenge. Hope is sharing what she has learned.

Hope's Quote,
"Preach, even if you get banged up!"

A young street boy came to our gate hungry and alone. He wanted our garbage, instead, Hope hands him food. This is very important to Hope that any kid who comes to us for help gets help.
As Hope says, "God loves them, all the children in the world."
Yes, Hope He does.

Together with Family & Friends

Hello Everyone,
We wanted to share with you some of the wonderful moments we have had with cherished family and beloved friends. We have tucked each moment into our hearts to help strengthen us on our journey back over the ocean to the mission field of the Philippines.
We will treasure the moments we spent together ... all the laughter and love and even the tears. You are all more precious to us than we know how to express.
We have had the sorrow of saying good bye to Nate's dear mother and the joy of expectation of a new little life into our family with the wonderful news of Nick and Aubrey's baby that is due to arrive in July.
We have traveled from the west coast to the east of our great nation seeing those we love and having the honor of meeting many new people. We have experienced an out pouring of goodness from all. You all have helped us in so many generous and thoughtful ways. None will be forgotten.
We have also had the joy of ministering to many people and seeing bondages of fear and pain and torment broken by the truth and love of Christ. A woman in California no longer wants to die - but live. A man in the East no longer harbors anger in his heart for past abuses but is free and feels the peace of God in those areas. A woman in the East is free from debilitating fear that kept her alone and withdrawn. A man on the West coast is free from shame and has joy instead and peace. A marriage now has hope instead of being filled with anger and resentment.
These are just some of the highlights of our times of ministering the truth of God's freedom available to all through Christ's love.
We pray God's protection over each of you. God's favor, His wisdom in all things pertaining to your life and that you experience the love He has for you richly and deeply in your everyday lives.
The sweetest of God's blessings ...now and always.
The Troias
