God's Love at Christmas and Always..
As I stood looking at this Christmas tree that was part of a yard sale where we were letting go of some of the last things we had stored, I realised that it would be the only tree I would light this year.
I wondered if, when and ...where I would light another.
Christmas of 2006 was this tree's first and last Christmas in our home in Illinois where we were born and raised. Our last Christmas at home as we new it.
As this tree stood lit in a friend's drive way, I thought back over the events that led us here.
In December of 2006 while celebrating Christmas with my side of the family at my mother and step dad's house I had the feeling that it would be the last one of its kind.
How true that was.
The following November we decided to move to California while visiting there and stayed.
My step father died 2 weeks later and my mother died on Christmas day.
I knew the call was going to come telling me that my mom was gone and I wanted to be as close to God as possible when it did. One way I do that is to go to the beach.
God knew and He did someting so special as I sat bundled against the cold, something He knew I would understand. Showing His love for me and mom, as I received that call, the sky lit up brighter than any Christmas tree ever could, brighter than a thousand - He lit the skies over the water with a brilliant bright heavenly silver as far as the eye could see. A silver like nothing I had ever seen before or since.
Mom had always loved Christmas. That day she would celebrate Christmas in Heaven.
Whenever and where ever in this world I light another Christmas tree of our own, in the Philippines where God has called us as missionaries or in some other place, I will think of mom's love and of God's love and the hope that we have in that Love.
Although I know our Christmases will not be the same as they were, I pray that they will always matter. And that the most important thing is that we all one day, together , will celebrate Christmas in heaven.
May God's tender mercies and richest blessings be made known to you and yours this Holy Season.
With Love,
Kelly Troia
Mom quoted this scripture most -
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him might not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Beginning Our Second Year as Missionaries to The Philippines
Hi Everyone!
We have had an incredible year in the Philippines.
We have had the honor of sharing the Gospel with the people of the this land.
We had the joy of praying with many for their hearts to be restored and healed.
We have prayed with the sick and physically hurt and seen God heal them completely.
We have also had the exciting experience of casting out demons and seeing the oppressed set free in Jesus name.
We have had the opportunity to feed the hungry and clothe the needy.
We are teaching the liberating message of the Gospel.
We have encouraged and strengthened and edified all God has brought to us and sent us to.
Serving God as missionaries has been one of the single most rewarding experiences of our family's lives.
As we begin our second year here, we have continued to place our hearts in His hands.
We pray that He will continue to trust us to love, lead and help the people in this part of Asia.
We will continue to help bring hope and healing to the broken hearted through the love of God in Christ as long as He asks us to.
If you would enjoy being a part of what God is doing through this ministry by supporting us in prayer, please let us know and we can inform you of what we need.
If you would like to partner with us in making a difference in the lives of the people of the Philippines, we welcome your support.
You may send any contribution that the Lord puts on your heart to:

New Prayer & Counseling Room!!
Hi Everyone!
We are so thankful for our new Prayer & Counseling room at the base! A wonderful couple (who does not want to be named) gave the finances to create this warm, comfortable and inviting place.
Nate and I (Kelly) really enjoyed working together to put this important room together.
I have the honor of using it for prayer ministry on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays 9am-12 noon. I will meet with leaders, missionaries, local Filipinos, former street kids, new Christians..all different people from several different countries..to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives ". (Isaiah 61)
When people experience pain and trama in their lives, one of the first things that is effected is their soul - their minds, memories, imagination, emotions and their will. Their veiw of themselves, and God is often cloaked with painful lies that they believe. Like: "I am worthless, no good, shameful and no one wants me or loves me..I am rejectable, stupid..I do not matter..I have to prove myself" (just to name a few)
God wants us to experience His love and His Truth. For real. In real life.
During prayer ministry, Jesus gives His truth..what happens is miraculous. The person receives freedom .. painful memories become peaceful and calm.
Because, Jesus is Who He said He is..He is the same, yesterday, today and forever. All who call upon Him will be saved.
And now we have a beautiful room to receive the precious people God sends to us.
Thank you so much for caring, for giving..for praying, for believing...
We love you all,
The Troias

To the mountains - Global Impact Retreat
Hi Everyone and welcome back!
The whole Global Impact team recently headed to the mountains for a ministry retreat. It was a wonderfully refreshing and encouraging time for all.
The theme was, "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he."
Our core beliefs were challenged in an excellent way that brought strength, comfort and revelation on a personal level.
We asked ourselves and God, What do we really believe about You, God..What do we believe about ourselves...what do we believe about our calling?
I encourage you to do the same thing. Ask God what you really believe, and then ask Him if what you believe is true..if not, ask Him to give you truth.
Enjoy!
